• Our suites are equipped with water-efficient toilets, shower heads and faucet aerators. Efficient water fixtures can reduce water consumption by approximately 40%. We are proud to say we have saved over 100 million liters of water and counting.
• When appliances reach the end of their life, they are brought to a proper disposal facility and are replaced with “Energy Star” certified appliances where possible. “Energy Star” models typically use 15-50% less energy than non-certified models.
• We have replaced incandescent light bulbs in common areas with energy efficient, compact florescent and LED bulbs. Energy-efficient bulbs use 30-40% less electricity than incandescent bulbs.
• The environmental design of our exterior grounds include the use of sensors to efficiently regulate exterior lighting. We also plant native greenery and perennials which require less water.

United Properties Ottawa is a proud member of the Eastern Ontario Landlord Organization (EOLO).  EOLO advocates for the rental housing industry in the Ottawa area, educates its members regarding changes to regulations and provides a forum for information exchange among its members. 

We have also been certified by the Ottawa Police Service as members of the Ottawa Crime Free Multi-Housing Program.  The Program supports property managers who aim to promote pride of ownership and also provides benefits to residents such as a safer and more pleasant environment to live.
